Lisa Werth, LCSW, LCAC, CEDS, SAP

Lisa is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over fifteen years of post-master’s clinical experience.  She has a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Marywood University in Scranton, Pennsylvania, a BA in Psychology from Binghamton University in New York, and a Master’s in Special Education from McDaniel University in Westminster, Maryland.  She specializes in Eating Disorders and Substance Abuse.

 

Lisa provides individual and group counseling for adolescents and adults. She offers services for all mental health issues, including depression, anxiety, stress disorders, grief and past issues of abuse. She also provides treatment for family members of those abusing alcohol or drugs or suffering from an eating disorder.  Lisa uses various treatment models, including motivational enhancement, strengths-based, solution-focused, DBT, mindfulness and cognitive behavioral therapies.

 

Lisa has a diverse clinical background and has practiced in varied settings from East Harlem, NY and Baltimore City Courts to providing Post-trauma stress debriefings and critical incident counseling services for investment banks during the September 11th World Trade Center Disaster.  Since moving to Lafayette ten years ago, Lisa has worked at CAPS at Purdue University, where she has offerred consultation services, as well as providing services from her private practice in West Lafayette.  She is passionate about her work, and has a special interest in treating Eating Disorders.  Lisa is married and blessed with two wonderful children.
